These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Chengdu Zen and Bit Technology Co., Ltd. (“we”, “us”) covering your use of the mobile game Zen Shikaku (“the App”). By downloading, installing, or playing the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
How we handle your data is described separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play the App on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. This licence does not transfer any ownership to you.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and you must be at least 13 years old to use it. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
The App offers optional in-app purchases, including consumable coin packs and the non-consumable “Remove Ads” entitlement.
Coins, hints, boosters, level progress and similar items are virtual items licensed to you for use inside the App. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred outside the App, and you do not own them.
Your progress is stored on your device rather than on our servers. Deleting the App, resetting your device, or losing your device may permanently erase your progress and unspent virtual items, and we are not able to restore them or provide compensation. Paid non-consumable entitlements can be restored as described in Section 3.
The App may display advertising, including rewarded video ads you can choose to watch in exchange for in-game benefits. Ads are supplied by third-party networks; we do not control and are not responsible for the content of those ads or for any site or offer they lead to. Purchasing “Remove Ads” removes ad placements as described in the App’s store listing.

We may suspend or terminate your access, or disable affected entitlements, if you breach these Terms.
The App and everything in it — artwork, plant illustrations, music and sound effects, level design, source code, and the Zen Shikaku name and logo — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks.
You may capture and share gameplay screenshots and videos for non-commercial personal use, such as posting on social media.
We may update the App to add features, fix bugs, or adjust game balance, and some updates may be required in order to keep playing. We may also change, suspend, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time. If we permanently discontinue the App, unspent virtual items may become unusable and no refund will be due except where required by law.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost progress, or lost virtual items. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us through in-app purchases in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is material, we will give notice inside the App where practical. Continuing to use the App after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be submitted to the competent courts located in Chengdu, Sichuan. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live.
